What you need

tsp chinese five spice

tsp garlic powder
tsp chili pepper

tsp ground ginger

tsp white pepper

cup soy sauce

cup hoisin sauce

tbsp brown sugar

tbsp yuzu juice

tsp sesame oil
fresh garlic

tbsp fresh ginger

chili paste

scallion

chopped pecans
Instructions
Prep the ribs 1 Pat ribs dry and remove the silver skin from the back. 2 Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet with a layer of parchment paper underneath to prevent sticking. 3 Mix together the spice rub ingredients and rub all over the ribs. Make the marinade 5 In a bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients. 6 Set aside about ⅓ cup for glazing later. 7 Brush the remaining marinade all over the ribs. 8 Optional: Marinate ribs for at least 1 hour, or overnight for even more flavor. Bake low & slow 10 Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). 11 Wrap ribs tightly in foil, meat side up. 12 Bake for 3 hours, or until very tender. Glaze & finish 14 Carefully unwrap the ribs. Increase oven temp to 425°F (220°C). 15 Brush ribs with reserved glaze. 16 Roast uncovered for 10–15 minutes, brushing once more halfway through, until sticky and caramelized. Rest & serve 18 Let ribs rest for 10 minutes. 19 Slice between the bones and garnish with scallions and chopped peanuts.View original recipe
